DIY Chevron Wood Storage Box

So if you follow me on Instagram or Facebook you may have seen a few sneak peaks into some cray cray “wood working” I’ve been doing…and after a week of fumbling around and trial and error I have a finished product.   Readers please meet my A-DOR-A-BLE
Chevron Wood Storage Box!

This little gem was conjured up when I found this amazing project on pinterest

I’m obsessed with the white/gold/brown combo, the chevron design…pretty much every part was saying “pa-dow”…thats code for i like a lot!

So I got to work with some MDF, scrap wood, and left over wood stain…and out popped this crafty little box.

My Custom Chevron Storage Box Price Breakdown

MDF – $10

Scrap wood – free the peeps at home depot are so nice to me

Gold Handle – $4 (Ikea)

Total Cost less than $15

I loved how inexpensive this project was because I am always aghast when I shop storage bins (which typically run +$30 for large size).  For the “staging” of my built-in’s I need at least 4 large bins and that is some serious cash!  Not to mention my shelves are oddly shaped so I was having a hard time buying off the shelf!

If you like these Chevron Boxes, I will be back next week with a full “How-To”.   I’m excited to repeat this project 3 more times so I can have the built-ins one step closer to “staged”.   Let me know what you think?

Update:   Check out the new post here on a full and complete “how to” for this project
